Choose Your Builder's Masterclass(es)

Pair both masterclasses for a complete, full-day immersion.

❋ The Head Chef's Grocery Run

Financial literacy & nutrition; designed for ages 8–10.

If you handed your child a strict budget today, could they confidently plan, purchase, and prepare a nutritionally balanced family meal?

❋ A Voyage Back In Time

Singapore’s heritage & culture; designed for ages 7–10.

Before the glass and steel, where did Singapore’s first kings bury their greatest secrets, and how did daring ocean voyagers turn a quiet island into a bustling port?

The Head Chef’s Grocery Run

Flyer for a June masterclass titled "The Head Chef's Grocery Run" organized by The Resilient Builders and Learn Maths Today. It features a picture of a grocery store aisle with a shopping cart filled with fruits and vegetables, and a child reaching for items on the shelf. The event takes place from June 22 to June 25, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Dhoby Ghaut MRT, and is limited to nine participants.
  • Welcome to an immersive financial literacy and nutritional science programme designed for ages 8–10. We remove the predictability of the textbook and place your child in the real world. They will take the lead as Head Chef, budgeting their resources and planning meals at the supermarket aisles.

As the finale, you get to step back and witness their independence beautifully come alive as they proudly cook for you at home with the ingredients they’ve bought (yes, your child will be given a real budget to work with!).

    • Confident Decision-Making: Watch their "Builder's Mind" beautifully activate as they shift from asking, "Can I have this?" to evaluating, "Does this fit my plan?" We will see them weigh real-world choices, negotiate constraints, and pivot when the math requires it.

    • Longer-Term Planning: See them practice the art of delayed gratification. As they navigate the supermarket's "Impulse Traps," we will watch their capacity for sustained focus grow, trading the need for a quick, cheap snack for the pride of a bigger, more rewarding goal.

    • A New Level of Independence: The ultimate joy awaits you at the end of the week. You will experience the profound pride of stepping into the role of Co-Conspirator, as your child takes over your kitchen to prepare a meal for you that they budgeted, bought, and built entirely themselves.

  • True cognitive growth does not stay in the programme; it lives in the home. At The Resilient Builders, we do not simply hand your child back with a certificate. We build a deliberate ‘Home Bridge’ to deepen your family bond.

    • The Daily ‘Home Bridge’: At the end of each day, your child will return with a gentle Home Bridge micro-mission. This is not homework; it is a curated conversation starter. You will hear the stories of the budget they negotiated, the impulse they conquered, and the plans they are building. Shifting your evening routine from asking "How was your day?" to genuinely strategising together.

    • The Climax (Day 4): The ultimate expression of this journey happens in your own kitchen. Your child will bring home their personalised menu, and the exact ingredients they budgeted and procured. You will step entirely out of the "Manager" role and into the supportive role of their sous-chef, sharing a profound moment of connection as you cook their weekend meal together.

  • Tip: A Voyage Back In Time is in the afternoon after The Head Chef’s Grocery Run. Signing up for both programs is highly recommended.

Over four thoughtfully structured days, this masterclass bridges the gap between thought and action. Your child will move seamlessly between our calm strategy space—where they will master the foundations of budgeting and nutrition—and the vibrant, real-world aisles of the supermarket, where their plans are confidently brought to life.

    Dates: 22–25 June

    Time: 9:30AM–12PM

Drop-Off Location: Dhoby Ghaut MRT. For safety reasons, exact drop-off and pick-up locations will be shared privately after confirming attendance.

  • Because our expeditions are strictly capped at an intimate 1:4 trained-facilitator-to-child ratio, the dynamic of the cohort is sacred. We do not operate on a standard "first-come, first-served" basis.

To ensure every child is placed in an environment where they will truly thrive, we conduct a 15-minute Curation Conversation with every family prior to formal enrollment. This allows us to understand your child's unique behavioural profile, ensure they are ready for the autonomy of the expedition, and purposefully build a perfectly balanced community of peers.

Step 1: Submit your Allocation Request.
Step 2: Have the Curation Conversation with us.
Step 3: Receive your formal Allocation and secure your seat.

A Voyage Back In Time

A poster advertising a June masterclass called 'A Voyage Back in Time' at Fort Canning Park, National Museum, and Children's Museum in Singapore, with an image of three children looking up at a lush, vertical garden wall.
  • Designed for ages 7–10. An immersive 4-day time-travel, expedition through the lush, ancient terrain of Fort Canning, the captivating maritime tales of the National Museum, and the vibrant 1930s galleries of the Children's Museum.

Guided by their 'Scientist's Eye,' your child will decipher historic clues and confidently navigate both the great outdoors and grand museum halls; building deep resilience and proactive problem-solving as they discover how these forgotten worlds shaped our island.

    • Deep, Screen-Free Observation: Watch them develop their "Scientist’s Eye." You will notice them naturally slowing down to investigate the ancient textures of Fort Canning and the captivating maritime artifacts of the National Museum, replacing passive screen-time with joyful, active curiosity.

    • Fearless Navigation: As they explore the lush, uneven terrain of Fort Canning, navigate the grand exhibition halls of the National Museum, and step into the bustling 1930s galleries of the Children's Museum, you will see their cognitive resilience bloom. They will learn to orient themselves, make spatial decisions, and trust their own judgment across completely different environments without looking for immediate adult rescue.

    • A Richer Connection to Their World: They will return home not just tired and happy, but brimming with vibrant stories. You will witness their "Builder's Mind" connecting the dots between ancient kings (Fort Canning), daring ocean voyages (National Museum), bustling heritage trades (Children’s Museum), and the modern Singapore they walk through every day; giving your family beautiful new conversations for the dinner table.

  • An expedition is only as powerful as the stories we bring back from it. We designed the ‘Home Bridge’ to ensure that your child’s historical discoveries become beautiful, shared moments for your entire family.

    • The Daily ‘Home Bridge’: Each evening, your child will return with a brief Home Bridge micro-mission designed to spark wonder at the dinner table. They will share the fascinating secrets they unearthed with their "Scientist’s Eye" at Fort Canning or the National Museum, and in turn, ask about your own stories and favorite memories of our city.

    • The Climax (Day 4): By the end of the expedition, they won't just be participants; they will be the storytellers. They will bring home their beautifully completed expedition artifacts, proudly acting as your family’s personal "Heritage Guide," ready to confidently point out the hidden history in the modern streets you walk together every weekend.

  • Tip: The Head Chef’s Grocery Run is in the morning before A Voyage Back In Time. Signing up for both programs is highly recommended.

    This isn't a standard history lesson. It’s a 4-day time-travel adventure.

The Maritime Currents: The journey flows into the National Museum, where the "Once Upon a Tide" and "A Journey Through Time" exhibitions will capture their "Builder's Mind" as they discover how a humble island transformed into a global port.

The Bustling Port Town: The adventure climaxes at the Children's Museum Singapore. Stepping into the immersive 1930s galleries, they will experience the vibrant sights, sounds, and heritage trades of our early pioneers.

Before Raine founded The Resilient Builders, she was a Technology Consultant for global firms and a part-time educator with an academic background in Psychology.

She saw firsthand that while technology is powerful, it cannot replicate human agency, empathy, or creative resilience. She also saw that, in the past, resilience meant enduring pain in silence. But, in the future, resilience means adaptability and the ability to value-create.

Now, Raine designs immersive expeditions that teach children to observe critically, make things happen by taking action, and retain their resilience and agency in the rapidly evolving AI economy.
