The Critical Thinking Lab

Answers are cheap. Critical thinking is rare.

(For ages 14–15)

4-session problem-solving bootcamp to cure the “blank stare”, build resilience, and prepare them for interviews and the real world.

(Strictly capped at 5 seats)

School teaches your child what to think. But has your child learnt how to think?

Children nowadays are at risk of being instruction-dependent. They wait to be told what to do and what to say.
They rely on screens to do the heavy lifting, to think or to cope with negative emotions.
When they face a messy, real-world problem, or a high-stakes interview, they panic.

We do not teach the syllabus. We build the ability to think independently.

The Process

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    No Right Answers

We take them off the screen and drop them into real-world business and social case studies.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    Collaborate Openly

We create a social environment. They will work with their peers to sharpen one another’s ideas and solutions.

    Adapt as Needed

We get them to think on their feet. They will hit dead ends. They will get frustrated. We train them to push through it instead of giving up.

    Deliver with Confidence

In the final session, they stand up and pitch their solution out loud. We train them to speak up, defend an idea, and handle pushback with absolute confidence.

Meet Our Founder

Psychology-trained learning architect and former consultant in a global tech firm.

Before Raine founded The Resilient Builders, she was a Technology Consultant with an academic background in Psychology for global firms.

She saw firsthand that while technology is powerful, it cannot replicate human agency, empathy, or creative resilience. She also saw that, in the past, resilience meant enduring pain in silence. But, in the future, resilience means adaptability and the ability to value-create.

Now, Raine designs programmes that teach young people to observe critically, make things happen by taking action, and retain their resilience and agency in the rapidly evolving AI economy.
